Writing & Directing
Writing and directing are both a passion and a profession for Jowanda. She writes and tells stories that reflect who she is, inclusive stories, that share the world via her lens. Not everyone tells a story through this lens.
Her work has a gravity and a depth that is unique. She believes its necessary to have different kinds of people and perspectives to richly represent diversity in media and engage all audiences.

A Jane Austen obsessive falls into the world of her own Austen-inspired novel.
Jazmine Robinson is an African American writer who is totally obsessed with Jane Austen. While on holiday in London, she falls and bumps her head. When she wakes up, she believes that she is her white 19th century heroine, Miss Alexander.
